We live in very stressful times!  The current pandemic situation can lead to a great deal of anxiety and stress.  “Struggling with chronic worry gets in the way of effectively managing your emotions. Unfortunately, many people who experience distress try to escape their unpleasant emotions by distracting themselves in ways that ultimately backfire.”  This article shows how the application of findings by Psychologists can be helpful in handling the stressors.  These are easy to try and will produce a positive response and to reset the worry.  Read the article and give these strategies a try.   The article is good for understanding the nature of stress, anxiety, coping skills, and can be used with the text on Positive Psychology as well.
