TITLE

Helping Teens Cope with Missed Milestones

DESCRIPTION

This is a timely article from the American Psychological Association regarding the events that affects adolescents (teens) in the time of quarantine and covid.  “The coronavirus pandemic has upended classes and other school activities. It means no prom posts, no graduation pics and no celebration party for many students and their families. Teens are mourning the loss of these missed mile- stones and experiences that mark the end of the school year.”  The article provides very specific and useful suggestions to help for a teen going through these issues.  If you are just out of high school and just beginning college, then this may be a useful article for your own adjustment.  Also, if you are a Psychology major and working with teens or perhaps a parent, this article provides several useful strategies to help build resilience.
