A Brain Hack to Break the Coronavirus Anxiety Cycle

DESCRIPTION

This is a great easy to read and understand article that begins with a differentiation between fear and anxiety.  The author begins with a quick understanding of the evolution of fear and then how anxiety develops along with our brain.   “Enter anxiety:  Defined as “a feeling of worry, nervousness or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome,” anxiety comes up when our prefrontal cortexes don’t have enough information to accurately predict the future. We see this right now with coronavirus.”  The article discusses how anxiety is transmitted socially through media and just speaking to each other and how it can build to panic levels.  The author also discusses how to break the cycle very simply.
