Often clients seeking help for depression and who need medications can often find that it may take trial-and-error to find the most effective medication.  “But promising new research published in February in Nature Biotechnology suggests that a simple brain test, paired with insights from artificial intelligence (AI), can predict whether an antidepressant will work on a given patient.”  This is an interesting article to pair with the textbook around issues of treatment.   Students interested in AI will find it as a “cutting edge” application for the field.
