Here’s Why You Forget Names Immediately

DESCRIPTION

This is a “fun” and interesting article.   Many of us when meeting new people and being introduced forget their names almost immediately.  This may be especially true when meeting several at once.  The article discusses both the mechanisms of memory and forgetting.  Sometimes we don’t do “the work” (old term is memorizing) to get the name into our long term memory and at other times, the mechanisms related to forgetting are at work.  The article ends with some tips on how to better remember and overcome this problem.
