This is an excellent and unusual article. It details the process of addiction and includes “patient voices”. There are visuals that will engage the student. Additionally the article briefly discusses the neuroscience of addiction, the life of the addict, and treatment as well as relapse. It is an excellent resource for use with “health” Psychology as well as psychopathology/abnormal chapters in the textbook.
