TITLE

Patient Voices: Restless Leg Syndrome

DESCRIPTION

Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is a little known sleep disorder.  It must be diagnosed through a sleep lab study.  This particular site provides an experiential understanding of how individuals manifest and cope with RLS.  The site provides both written and audio segments.   It is useful for teaching with the chapters on sleep and abnormal/psychopathology.

“Creepy-crawly, itchy, tingly, aching legs — while different people may describe restless leg syndrome differently the results are the same: sleepless nights and restless days. What is it like to be diagnosed with R.L.S.? Six men and women speak about their experiences.”
