Over the past several decades, there has been a trend toward popularizing Psychology through articles that would be considered in the realm of both Positive Psychology and Health Psychology.  These popularizations are used as everyday applications of findings generally from the clinical field.  This well written, easy to read article, discusses clinical techniques that can be used on a daily basis for self-improvement and is written under the guise of helping an individual successfully accomplish common new year’s resolutions.   The article can be used as part of a general discussion in terms of applications of Psychology as well as accompanying the chapters covering Positive and Health Psychology.
